Golfito is located inside the Golfo Dulce Bay, and its waters are one of the most beautiful sceneries in Costa Rica, the Golfo Dulce bay is one of only four tropical fiords in the world (a fiord is a long, narrow inlet with steep sides or cliffs, created in a valley carved).
Golfito's waters are home of a large variety of maritime species such as 3 species of dolphins, whales, sharks, and fishermans favorites: Roosters, Mackerel, Amberjack, Wahoo, big snappers and the most wanted sail fish and marlin.

Our Golfito Sportfishing Captain is Bobby Mcguinness, who is well know in the fishing world because he's the holder of more than 200 guinness world records, and it has nothing to do with his lastname, he has owned a lot of world fishing recognitions along the years, the IGFA recognition in 2010, along with an IGFA 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award, come on the heels of a 3rd place certificate for 2009, and a 2nd place IGFA Saltwater Captain diploma for 2004

During my recent Honeymoon in Costa Rica, I was fortunate enough to spend a day fishing with Bobby McGuinness and his crew.  What an awesome day.  I landed 4 sailfish including one that passed 9 1/2 feet, 4 rooster fish with one well over 50 pounds, and a giant amberjack that was easily 6o plus pounds.  I have chartered in Florida, Cabo San Lucas, Hawaii, and Alaska.  Overall, my day spent with Bobby on the Cazador was the best day of charter fishing I have ever had.  I would higly recommend fishing with Bobby and can't wait until I go back!
